Volunteer involvement is very important. We especially need help in the following areas: Volunteers can help in many ways, including serving food at events, working the merchandise table, serving as site volunteers to help the corps move daily, providing skilled trades and more. This is a great way to meet other parents and the members of the Saints. While SPA typically travels in charter vans, or buses, and also haul our own equipment in trailers from 16 foot to 26 foot long. We need drivers for local shows and the summer weekend tours, volunteers to move our trailers to and from rehearsals during the spring. Many times we also need help cleaning and maintaining the equipment. Our trailers, and vehicles are donated with many miles on them. Keeping them in working condition requires volunteers and those able and willing to provide their experience to the corps. This allows us to keep costs low and all programs accessible. Current assistance is needed in repairing our drum corps trailer to include replacing doors, rewiring lights and more. Great care is taken in fitting a uniform to each individual member. If you know someone who can help with fittings and alterations (hemming pants, jacket sleeves, and general-maintenance sewing) please let us know. Our practice fields are often public parks and need help with lining and preparing before rehearsals. We also have to keep the areas clean when in use. There are always special projects in progress, such as reseeding the grass, painting, and general maintenance. We have many “day of” volunteer needs at our locally-hosted events and performances. If you have time we would love to have you lend a hand! Volunteers
