Tour Policies

Vehicle Etiquette

We have chartered buses or vans for out of state transportation. Please respect the following rules to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for all:

  • Do not jump on the seats or walk on the armrests.
  • Do not place items in air conditioning vents.
  • Do not tamper with emergency window releases.
  • Keep restrooms closed at all times.
  • Do not throw anything inside or outside the bus.
  • Pass trash to the front of the bus and dispose of it properly when exiting.
  • Do not hang items from overhead racks while the bus is in motion.
  • No standing forward of the driver’s seat while the bus is in motion.
  • Do not lean anything against or hang anything on the exterior of the bus.
  • Alcohol and illegal substances are strictly prohibited on SPA vehicles.

Tour Conduct

While we don’t tour all season, we prioritize efficient travel and rest during trips.

  • Keep rest stops brief and adhere to designated times.
  • Follow instructions from bus captains.
  • Pack light and adhere to luggage restrictions.
  • Maximize sleep opportunities and be considerate of others in shared sleeping spaces.
  • Keep gyms clean and dispose of trash properly.
  • Respect assigned cleaning duties.

What to Bring

  • Sleeping bag and air mattress
  • Small suitcase for 3 days
  • Towels and washcloths
  • Black socks for uniform
  • Underwear
  • Practice clothes
  • Casual clothes
  • One casual outfit for community events
  • Rain jacket (as needed)
  • Sun protection (hat, sunscreen)
  • Bus seat cover
  • Personal care items
  • Medications
  • Small supply of personal first-aid items

Additional Policies

  • SPA is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.
  • Carry $40-60 for additional food, and merchandise.
  • Mark all belongings with a permanent marker.
  • Do not bring items to drop off with friends or family along the way.

Community Events

During community events, you’ll have opportunities to explore the local area, try new foods, and engage with the community. Remember to adhere to the SPA code of conduct and represent the organization positively.

Ride Share

Ride-share services (Uber/Lyft) may be permitted at designated times with program director approval.

Family Visits

Overnight stays with parents/legal guardians are permitted in certain situations with program director approval. Off-site visits for meals/quick visits with family also require program director approval. Check out with the director before departing.
